FIRST TIME VISITOR FAQ'S

WE KNOW PREPARING TO VISIT A NEW CHURCH FOR THE FIRST TIME CAN BE AN INTIMIDATING, IF NOT, A SOMEWHAT OVERWHELMING EXPERIENCE.  IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO VISIT US, THIS PAGE IS DEDICATED TO YOU.  WE'VE TRIED TO ANSWER THE MOST COMMON QUESTIONS THAT NEW FAMILY HAS ASKED ABOUT CALVARY COMPASSION CHURCH. COME EXPERIENCE COMPASSION THE WAY GOD INTENDED.  YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY HOME AND WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!

  • You may wear whatever you like. There are some people who wear traditional church attire like suits and ties or dresses.  Many choose business casual (slacks and a button-down shirt), and others wear jeans and t-shirts.  Dress comfortably for you!  It is important to remember that God looks at our hearts, not at our clothing.

  • Service starts at 10:30 AM and doors open at 10:00 AM to allow you plenty of time to get settled in.  We encourage you to arrive before service starts to meet some very loving people.

  • Our address is 4204 Okeechobee Rd, Fort Pierce, FL 34947.  Take I-95 to exit 129 Okeechobee/Fort Pierce or the Turnpike to exit 152/FL-70.  Head east on Okeechobee Rd for 1 mile to the Orange Blossom Business Center.

  • You will find parking spaces in the front of the campus. Follow the signs and look for our parking attendants to help direct you.  Please notify a member of our Compassion Staff if you need special assistance to get inside.

  • We start with praise and worship promptly at 10:30 AM.  You will be invited to sing along to a blended selection of music from different genres including contemporary Christian, gospel, hymns, and spiritual songs lead by our dynamic worship team and live band consisting of drums, keyboards, organ, saxophone and guitar. Tambourines are welcomed!

  • If you have children (Newborn – 5th Grade), you can check them into our Compassion Kids Ministry from 10:15am – 11:00am. Our Compassion Kids Ministry Partners have undergone a background check and have been cleared to work with your children. You can worship worry free knowing your children will be taught the Word of God in a safe, fun and friendly environment.

  • Youth remain in the main sanctuary with the adults. Youth are encouraged to take part in E.N.D. IT. (Everybody's Not Doing It) outside of Sunday morning services. We also encourage our youth to volunteer in Children's Ministry as Helpers or in Parking Lot Ministry, Media Ministry or wherever they may be a good fit. High School students are able to document their time serving for community service hours which many scholarship and grant programs look favorably upon in their selection of award recipients. For information about END IT, you may visit this linkwww.everybodyisnotdoingit.org

  •  There will be an opportunity for you to meet our pastor and ministry partners. Don't forget to turn in your connection card to receive your FREE gift as our thank you for worshiping with us.

  • When you attend a service at Calvary Compassion Church, you enter an area where photography, audio and video streaming, and live recording is occurring.  There is a chance you may appear on camera, so remember to smile!

  • We have a chapter-by-chapter and verse-by-verse approach to teaching the Bible.  Occasionally, a topical message is shared from our pastor, a speaker, or one of our associate pastors.
